ATHEX headed south yesterday after three consecutive session in the green underperforming the European stock markets. In more detail, the General Index dropped by 0.92% at 1,859.13 units (FTSE Large Cap: -1.11%, FTSE Mid Cap: -0.05%, Banks Index: -0.72%) and the traded value was shaped at EUR 200.1m, down from Wednesday’s EUR 446.3m. We expect some mild profit taking today after the recent rally, while Scope Ratings Sovereign Debt Review on Greece will be published today.

National Bank of Greece AGM today
The AGM of the bank will take place today at 11:00 Athens/09:00 London Time. Shareholders will approve among others the distribution of a gross dividend of EUR 0.44/share (Div. Yield: 4.1%) as well as a share buyback program of up to 91,471,515 shares (up to 10% of paid-in capital), to be acquired over a period of 24 months (30/05/2027), while the total cost shall not exceed EUR 194.0m. The maximum price was set at EUR 20.00/share and the minimum at EUR 1.00/share.
During the conference call, management highlighted:
a) strong 1Q25 performance driven by a packed sports calendar and operator friendly match results while, numerical lotteries also benefited from the January Tzoker Giga jackpot,
b) Diversified earnings and omni-channel model support OPAP’s resilience, with management optimistic for another successful year,
c) operating expenses rose in line with revenue growth, with payroll and marketing both up by c.7% due to headcount growth, wage increases, and CSR/advertising initiatives,
d) net profit margin at 21%, aided by the strong performance and low interest expenses,
e) AI and machine learning integration in the iLottery platform led to a 30% improvement in customer retention, f) OPAP Store App reached new record of 510k users (+16% y-o-y), with 19% higher engagement and average spending of EUR 34 per visit,
g) FY25e dividend distribution at least as of FY24 h) no plan to initiate the buyback yet but management have the flexibility to start it after the AGM approval
Profile’s AGM approved dividend of EUR 0.0646 per share
Profile AGM yesterday approved the dividend of EUR 0.064657 per share that will be upwards revised excluding the own shares of the company. The dividend ex-date was set for Wednesday 2 July and the payment date will commence on Tuesday 8 July (DY:1.08%). Also, the AGM authorized the BoD to proceed with a share capital increase, up to the amount of the currently paid-up share capital.
Profile proceeded with a placement of 350,000 shares
The company announces that on Wednesday 28 May proceeded with the sale, via private placement, of 350,000 treasury shares or 1.4143% of the total share capital at the price of EUR 5.80 per share with a total consideration of EUR 2,030,000.
Intralot 1Q25 results out today
Intralot will announce its 1Q25 financial update today before the market opening and will hold a conference call today at 17:00pm Athens Time.
GEK TERNA announced that it will publish its 1Q25 results on Tuesday 3 June, before the market opening.
Technical Olympics CC highlights
During the conference call, management highlighted: a) a company has been established in the United States with the purpose of developing a condo hotel in Florida, b) an office building was acquired in Germany for a total consideration of EUR 15m, with plans to be converted into residential apartments c) the port of Samos has experienced revenue growth, and the company intends to proceed with operational upgrades, d) the company holds a 65% stake in 9 photovoltaic power stations with a total capacity of 9MW, seven of which are already connected to the grid. e) the AGM approved a share buyback program, f) the company aims to announce a dividend distribution within 2025.
